Social Media and the Hiring Process - Post 5
In conclusion, the
importance of social media relating to the hiring process is becoming more
prevalent. I believe that in 2030, employees, employers, and potential
candidates will all be impact by the growth of social media. Employers will
shift to using recruiters who will use the growth of social media to their
advantage by tapping into an enormous pool of candidates on various social
media websites (Simms, 2013). In addition, social media will also benefit those
seeking jobs by providing them with an opportunity to look globally for the
ideal job that they desire (Simms, 2013). Employers will also have the luxury
of accessing information that they would not normally be exposed to through
orthodox resumes. These are just some of the impacts that the growth of social
media could have on the hiring process in 2030. Practically, for us to know how
social media will affect work in 2030, we will just have to wait another 13
years.
