Social Media and the Hiring Process - Post 3
In the past, those
searching for jobs would be subject to only jobs that are available locally if
they decided not to make use of the Internet. If they did decide to use the
Internet to look for jobs, their options would be limited to using a job board.
In 2030, with the uprising of social media, it will be much easier to find a
job. Job recruiters will use social media websites such as LinkedIn, Twitter,
and Facebook to find adequate employees to fill their positions (Boitnott, 2016).
This is back up by the fact that in 2017, the number one source used for
recruitment is LinkedIn, and this rate will only continue to grow (Boitnott,
2016). Job seekers in 2030 will be able to this growth of social media to their
advantage and advertise their expertise on numerous social media platforms and
look for jobs all over the world.
