History of Social Media and Social Media in Work Post 5
In conclusion it can be assumed that the use of
the internet and social media is only expected to continue to increase based on
current findings. Social media in the workplace will be much more active in the
year of 2030 as there are an increasing number of social media users. Employers
will continue to use social media to screen candidates for job positions, for
this reason it is important that social media users are careful of what is
posted on social media, create a proper online identity and put measures in
place to protect that online identity (Managing Social Media, n.d., para.
3). Social
media could also be used as an interaction base with customers to improve
customer service. To sum it up, with the growing population and the growing
amount of users on social media sites, there is an increased likelihood of more
social media involvement in the workplace in the future.
